The Simien Mountains National Park with the Ethiopian Wildlife Conservation Authority, AWF and Gitec project, have collaboratively identified and prioritized key infrastructure development within the SMNP. Among the top priority projects, the #Janamora#Sub-headquarter, the #Beyeda#Sub-headquarter, and #Chenek Campsites are some of the projects expected to be developed in the near future.
The construction and development of these SHQs and facilities are crucial for strengthening the collaboration between the Simien Mountains National Park and the surrounding woredas, enhancing conservation, elevating tourist satisfaction and ultimately boosting visitor numbers and contributing to the sustainable development of the Park.
